Hello, I'm Carl, the guy behind Torneado & Wood.

In 2015 I uncovered a 1950s Myford ML-8 lathe in my father-in-law's workshop which belonged to my wife's late great Uncle Bert.

Without knowing what wood turning really was, I took a course and from there was hooked. I enjoy designing and creating contemporary pieces using traditional methods.

All of the wood that I use is from a sustainable source here in Devon and I only use the finest quality fixtures and fittings to create my lamps along with a rigorous PAT testing process.
